BARB POLLISINO

Office Specialist

Barb pilots the ship that is our front office. She has logged 6 years in the cockpit and has an impeccable record with both our patients and staff. We wouldn't want to start a day without her.

Barb really does do it all here at Fit For Play. She will greet you with a friendly smile, help you schedule appointments, explain your insurance benefits, and answer all questions related to billing. She enjoys getting to know our patients and watching them improve their lives with therapy.

Barb is a 2008 graduate of South Hills School of Business and Technology where she received her Associates’ Degree in the Medical Office Specialist program. She joined the Fit for Play team shortly after that starting in August of 2008. She is also our first call if we have an emergency situation because she also has over 10 years of experience as an EMT.

Family is everything to Barb. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Bob and her children Brooke and Bobby. She loves watching her daughter play soccer. She also enjoys riding motorcycles, ATVs, and the outdoors. Barbs favorite thing to do is to sit by the fire pit in her back yard and roast marshmallows or hotdogs with her family.

THREE QUICK QUESTIONS

What is good customer service to you?

Providing a positive experience to our patients from first contact through the completion of therapy. Always striving to be upbeat, a good listener and the person that finds solutions for patients.

Insurance can be very confusing. What do we do to make that easier for patients?

We go out of our way to verify insurance benefits for each patient prior to their first visit so they will know their financial responsibility right up front. We then use a form that is easy to understand to go over each patients benefits during their first visit. Lastly we encourage all patients to call the number on their insurance card with any additional questions or concerns.

When the weather gets nice, what are some things that keep you busy?

I love to be outside with my kids. We all enjoy riding our UTV (the kids love the mud), camping, picnics and working in the garden.
